Rotational movements are a large part of everyday life for everyone. Rotation is present at different speeds and activities from reaching across your body to catch something to swinging a bat in baseball. These movements can greatly be enhanced by the progressive resistance nature that elastic bands provide. As the end points of elastic tubing are moved away from one another the tension becomes greater.
Elastic resistance can be used during combination training sessions (in conjunction with baseball sport practice) or as a part of a complex training method. Make sure to take into consideration the training level of your client/athlete and administer a gradual increase in elastic rotational training load in order to minimize the occurrence of connective tissue soreness and of course injury. Elevate your clients and athletes training to the next level with the addition of elastic resistance!
