5 Moves to Counteract Your Desk Job
Beat the Hunch
If you belong to the large number of people who work sitting in an office all day, you probably find yourself sitting slumped over your computer. We all know about good posture and how it benefits overall health. Yet at the end of the day, sitting with good posture for hours on end seems more difficult than living with a hunch.
For some of us, not moving very often through the day impacts more than just posture. Getting to the gym after a long day of work is already difficult, and some days after a day of sitting on your butt, all you want to do is go home and sit on your butt some more. Here at Stroops we want everyone to feel good about themselves and move for a healthier life. This does not mean we are trying to change how you live, just making sure you get a little movement through your day.
Utilize Your Space
It’s very easy to just get up from your desk throughout the day and get a few stretches in. It takes only a few minutes and you’re going to reap the benefits of getting your blood flowing.
All these moves require minimal space and equipment. There’s no need to leave your cubicle or even change out of those business clothes. Just make sure to keep an eye out if your boss is watching you do strange things in the office. But for the majority of these moves you won’t even need to leave your chair.
- Banded Dislocates

What You Need to Know
Any of these moves may be modified to be easier or harder and all you need is your own bodyweight or a Toner. Try to get these moves in about every two hours. These will get you up and moving and relieve your system of the long dreaded hours sitting.
