Workout of the Week – Episode 09

NEW PRODUCT THIS WEEK! We will be using the Resistance 90 for the next four episodes. Go catch up if you missed last weeks workout. If you’re all caught up, let’s get into it. For this workout, you will only need the Resistance 90. We went up to the woods for our workout but you can do this anywhere.

The workout

This is a simple toning workout made up of mostly compound movements. The compound movements allow you to work a lot of muscles in a short period of time. Perform each round of exercises 4-6 times,
resting only at the end of each round for one minute.

Start using Stroops in your training


Straight Leg Deadlift // 10 reps

Stand on the strap of the resistance band with your feet shoulder width apart. Roll up the Slastix around the bar until you find a good tension. Begin by pushing your hips back and hinging at the hips. Lower the bar down as far as you can go while maintaining a straight back. Then return to the top. You should feel a good stretch behind your legs in your hamstrings.

Bicep Curl // 10 Reps

While standing on the strap. Grip the bar with your palms facing up. Keeping your elbows at your side, curl the bar up to your chest. Control it on the way down and repeat. You can control how much resistance you get by rolling or unrolling the Slastix around the bar.

Over Head Press // 10 Reps

Hold the bar chest level with your palms facing up. Push the bar directly up and over your head.
Be sure to fully lock out your arms before returning the bar to your chest. Keep your elbows directly under the bar for the duration of this movement.

Squat // 10 Reps

Place the bar behind your head on your back. Place your hands slightly wider than shoulder width. Squat down until your thighs are parallel to the ground. Push off the ground and push up into the resistance until you are stood up all the way. keep a tight core and flat back. If you cannot squat to parallel, just go as low as you can while maintaining proper form.
