Stroops will be an exhibitor at the 2017 IDEA World Convention. The convention is the “can’t-miss event” for fitness enthusiasts and trainers interested in all aspects of fitness, wellness, health and nutrition.
Brand New Product
Stroops will be launching its new elastic battle rope product, the Son of the Beast Pro. The new kit is an adaptation of the original Son of the Beast battle rope with the addition of a pull belt, cloth anchors and carabiners. Attendees will get the first opportunity to use the product hands-on.
Master Instructors from Stroops will be teaching three workshops and will be at the booth to discuss the company’s new product and new VITL Online Certification Course for personal trainers. The new VITL Certification course allows personal trainers the opportunity to become Stroops certified and earn CEC’s online. Design Client Programs With Skill and Confidence
THURSDAY, 2:00-3:50pm | taught by Tyler Yearby, M.Ed.
Are you confident in your ability to design programs that guarantee client results? In this hands–on workshop, we’ll explore an easy–to–apply periodization structure that is creative and effective. In addition, you’ll experience movement in multiple planes and variable ranges of motion, and utilization of different energy systems. Whether you employ elastic resistance, barbells, kettlebells or some other modality, the emphasis will be placed on quality program principles to help your body adapt to new stressors. Take out the guesswork and design programs with confidence!
Assist // Resist // React
FRIDAY, 7:30-9:20am | taught by Christopher McGrath, M.S.
Assist–Resist–React uses elastic resistance to address a universally applicable approach to training that will satisfy the needs of clients of all fitness and learning levels. This session addresses assisted concepts for proper pattern development, resisted principles for building strength and stability, and reactive techniques to improve control in unpredictable environments.
A New Spin on Small-Group Training

As a trainer, you’ve probably seen and tried a variety of small-group training approaches. So how do you choose one that makes sense for your clients? In this session, we’ll take a look at how “tensegrity,” or tension integrity, can be employed to design powerful small-group training sessions. This approach reinforces the importance of stability and mobility, which can be overlooked in the group-training environment. Come to this session and experience closed-chain dynamic movement that emphasizes quality over quantity.
